The Stud was registered by Rod Evans in 1977 on Manderley Blood with the introduction of Merryville blood in 1989. This has been instrumental in stabilising a finer family whilst retaining the soft handling, well nourished superior crimping medium families for which "Tara Park" has become widely recognised.

"Tara Park" is situated at Boorowa, which borders on the Southern Tablelands and South West Slopes of NSW. We experience extremes in weather conditions with an average annual rainfall of 26 inches (660 mm).

The stud is a family concern being operated by the EVANS' families on the properties "Tara Park" and more recently "West Tara", where Guy, Anna and family live. The properties are joined by the Boorowa River making the business more secure.

"Tara Park" is currently being managed by Guy & Adrienne whilst Rod is mainly involved in classing for clients, deliveries and judging throughout most states. Achievements in the show and sale rings since inception has been vital in gaining recognition nationally and overseas. Both Rod & Guy have had the privilege of judging in most states of Australia and internationally.
.
John Williams, Cooma, continues to class for the stud, and with his experience and background knowledge the future looks promising. Continued achievements in show and sale rings have added to the success of the Stud.
